Make the most of this autumn! We’ve put together some of our favourite nature spots around the city, whether you’re looking for a green escape or simply somewhere to unwind.🩷

  1. Nackareservatet
    A peaceful escape just outside the city, with beautiful forest trails, lakes and plenty of spots to stop for a fika. Perfect for a long walk, a run or a quiet afternoon in nature.

    Metro: Björkhagen

  2. Nyckelvikens naturreservat
    A beautiful mix of forest, open landscapes and views over the water. The reserve is also home to an old manor and animals, making it a lovely spot for a relaxed autumn day.

    Metro: Take a bus from Slussen toward Jarlaberg/Ektorp, then walk the final stretch.

  3. Judarskogens naturreservat
    One of Stockholm’s quieter green escapes, centred around Lake Judarn. Wander through the forest, follow the paths around the water and enjoy the autumn colours.

    Metro: Ängbyplan

  4. Flatens naturreservat
    A great choice if you want a little more space and a proper nature getaway. You’ll find forests, rocky landscapes, meadows and the beautiful Lake Flaten — perfect for a refreshing autumn walk.

    Metro: Skarpnäck. Take a bus toward Orhem, then walk into the reserve.

  5. Grimsta naturreservat
    Forest, walking trails and waterfront views make Grimsta a great place to slow down and get some fresh air. Keep an eye out for wildlife along the way!

    Metro: Blackeberg

  6. Årstaskogen & Årsta holmars naturreservat
    A hidden green corner right in the city. Explore the forest paths, enjoy views over Årstaviken and take a break from the urban buzz without travelling far.

    Metro: Gullmarsplan. Take a local bus toward Sköntorpsvägen, then walk a short distance
