We stand with all our fellow students

With the escalation of warfare in Gaza and the West Bank over the past year, the world has witnessed unacceptable violence. Universities in Gaza have been razed to the ground. As a result, their students are unable to receive their education for the foreseeable future. It has also come to the attention of the Stockholm University Student Union that students at Stockholm University are experiencing feelings of grief and vulnerability.

We stand with all our fellow students who are personally affected by this conflict. SUS strongly supports human rights and thus condemns all forms of anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, and incitement to racial discrimination. We are dedicated to working for an open and inclusive campus, where everyone should feel welcome and safe, and an environment that promotes respectful and empathetic dialog.

For those students who experience a lack of support and want additional support, we would like to refer you to establish counseling support via Student Health Services, which continuously publishes available times. If you are harassed or discriminated against on campus, you can always contact the administrator of discrimination cases who can be reached via likavillkor@su.se.
