The Lucia Ball 2026 & SUS Honorary Medal
Every year, SUS organizes the traditional Lucia Ball, an elegant and atmospheric ball where alumni, students and Nobel Laureates dress in their finest and gather for an unforgettable night filled with laughter, singing, entertainment, and dancing!
The first Lucia Ball was organized in 1917 by students from the Natural Sciences Faculty Club and has since evolved into an annual tradition at Stockholm University, now led by SUS.
The Lucia Ball will be held at the venue Hagastrand. Doors open at 17:44 and the banquet will commence at 18:30

The Honorary medal
During the Lucia Ball, SUS awards an honorary medal to a person who has contributed with significant efforts in either student governance or students’ social life at Stockholm University. All members can nominate someone they think should be awarded the medal!
