A historical change in SUS statutes

The SUS Representative Assembly is the highest decision-making body of SUS. The composition of SUS is determined by the Student Union Elections held every spring semester. This year the election takes place between April 18 and 25.

During the elections, SUS members have the right to vote for the parties running in the election and for specific individuals within those parties.

Last thursday, on March 14, SUS made a decision in the first reading that aims to open up opportunities for more people to participate in the Representative Assembly. In the proposal, associations and councils will be allowed to appoint members and you will no longer have to be part of a party to run in the Student Union Elections.

SUS's democratic mission is a fundamental part of the organization's activities. SUS representative assembley will decide on the change in the statutes in the second reading on May 23.
